Away from home, a group of volunteers under the banner Holi Mela Committee has started organizing the Festival of Colors (Holi) in Nishi-Kasai. This event is usually held on the weekend closest to Holi (for 2024 Holi is March 25). What happens? Holi is one of the most important festivals in the Hindu calendar. Missing such celebration here in Tokyo, a bunchful of Indian expats from diverse fields ; came together and decided to celebrate the festival of Colors & Joy. In 2016, 1st HOLI event was organised in Nishi Kasai, Tokyo. A Committee of 11 members to organize the HOLI festival was formed to run on No-profit basis.
